Munnar in Kerala's Idukki is a hotspot for tourists. The hill station offers a mind-boggling experience to tourists. To take tourism to the next level, the district administration has developed a new mobile app called VIBGYOR. The app features seven popular routes in Munnar. The seven colors of the rainbow can identify as the name suggests. It also contains other additional information about the routes.
The app also shows the distance from Munnar to each tourist destination spot. It also says the historical importance of that place, the weather, stay facilities, hospitals close by, petrol stations, police assistance, and favorable timing to visit that particular destination. The officials have stated that the website can be accessed as a website, and a QR code will be displayed at all the major tourist centers to make access quick.
According to the officials, the app will also provide travelers with live updates and current happenings about each place. The app can be used by solo travelers, families, and photographers. For instance, a photographer can select major photographic spots using the VIBGYOR app. The app also features Munnar's most famous Neelakurunji and Nilgiri Thars. It also provides the medicinal importance of locally available plants.
