Google-backed edtech startup Cuemath hires former Swiggy COO Vivek Sunder as its new CEO
Vivek Sunder, the former COO of Swiggy, India’s largest online food delivery platform, joined edtech startup Cuemath as its new CEO. Mr. Sunder had stepped down from his position in Swiggy two months earlier.
Manan Khurma, who started Cuemath in 2013, will transition to the role of Chairman but will remain centrally linked to the company’s operations. Both Manan Khurma and Vivek Sunder will begin their new roles from 1st October 2021.
Cuemath is a leading edtech company that teaches children mathematics and coding in the K-12 space in 20 countries worldwide. The edtech startup is backed by both Google Capital and Sequoia Capital India, and so far, it has raised nearly $64 million in venture funding.
Founder Manan Khurma said that he is excited to welcome Vivek Sunder to the Cuemath family and is confident in his proven track record and extensive experience in building consumer brands while being incredibly keen on industry-leading operations.
Cuemath claims its services have been used by over 200,000 students in the 20 countries they are present in right now. Vivek sunder has been given the responsibility of the growth of the company and its expansion in 50 countries from the 20 countries they are already present in.
