Apple is finally launching its online store in India. The store is scheduled for a launch on September 23. It will offer the customers in the country full range of Apple products and support for the first time.
The premium Apple online store experience will be on par with what is offered all over the globe by the mobile-maker. “We’re proud to be expanding in India and want to do all we can to support our customers and their communities,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People. “We know our users are relying on technology to stay connected, engage in learning, and tap into their creativity, and by bringing the Apple Store online to India, we are offering our customers the very best of Apple at this important time.”
The company has been present in India for more than 20 years and is a huge market for Apple. It also has facilities in the southern part of India where it assembles its smartphones but has not sold directly in the Southeast Asian country so far. The launch comes at a perfect time as the festive season begins on the subcontinent soon.
The Apple online store in the country will offer a range of affordability options. The Cupertino-company also said that the students will be able to shop for a Mac or an iPad at special prices and receive discounts on Apple accessories.
