India's NITI Aayog has announced a tie-up with the cloud computing giant Amazon Web Services (AWS). The tie-up will look to educate and train Indian students on the fundamentals of cloud computing through Atal Tinkering Labs.
The collaboration between AWS and NITI Aayog will help equip the youth of the Southeast Asian country with knowledge of digital and web-based tools that are highly relevant in today's context. The training will help the nation grow its innovations and entrepreneurship network.
"AWS is committed to bridging the digital skills gap in cloud computing and empowering entrepreneurs to build innovative products and services on the cloud. We are focused on helping customers deliver transformational change and experiential learning at scale. It is a privilege to team up with Atal Innovation Mission to foster ideation, curiosity, and innovation among India's students and youth," said Rahul Sharma, President, Public Sector - AISPL, AWS India, and South Asia.
Through the partnership, education and tools related to cloud computing will be provided for students of Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) across India. This program is expected to reach roughly 7,000 students of ATLs.
