Employees will require to set a 12-month get-healthy goal & update the progress every month, and who reaches the goal would get a 1-month salary as a bonus and one lucky draw for Rs 10lakhs.
The pandemic has undoubtedly put our lives in a sedentary mode and decreased our physical activities, as work from home became the new norm for the entire world. Realizing this, Zerodha, a financial services company and the largest stock broking company in India, has announced an innovative program to keep their employees healthy.
The inspiring initiative was announced by the Founder and CEO of Zerodha, NithinKamath, on Twitter. He highlighted the impact of the pandemic and its long impact on individuals both physically and mentally. To push the employees towards fitness goals, the company will reward employees with a month's salary as a bonus who achieve their health goals for the next twelve months.
"On our internal forum, we asked everyone to set a 12-month get-healthy goal & update the progress every month to create accountability. To increase participation, we said everyone who reaches the goal will get a 1-month salary as a bonus and one lucky draw for Rs 10lakhs,"tweeted Kamath.
He also highlighted that how getting healthy also improves the professional performance of an individual. He further said, "Get Healthy program will now run permanently. Sharing to seed the idea among fellow entrepreneurs." The post went viral on twitter. While many are appreciating the company's efforts and hoping that other companies also take these efforts, some have also raised concerns about how this will be implemented.
