PUBG Mobile has been very popular yet controversial in India, as it got banned due to data privacy issues. However, Krafton has come up with a surprise for Indian fans as they can now pre-register for PUBG New State, which was announced globally a few months back.
Indian fans of PUBG have been deprived of competing with global players after the game was banned last year. And when PUBG came up with a localized version of the game called “Battlegrounds Mobile India,” the gamers could only compete against players countrywide. The BGMI had a few differencesfrom the original PUBG.
Earlier, PUBG New State went up for pre-registration worldwide, barring India, China and Vietnam. But Krafton had planned to launch the new game with the same name in India after BGMI secured its place in the country. In a convention earlier this year, Krafton’s head of corporate development, Sean HyunilSohn, had hinted at a possible game launch after Battlegrounds Mobile India had successfully entered India’s gaming space. The game is available for pre-registration, and users can go to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to pre-register for Krafton’s PUBG: New State.
“Knowing that PUBG IP from Krafton is enjoying countrywide popularity in India and our Indian fans have high interest in the launch of PUBG: New State in India, we at PUBG Studios are doing our best to offer a battle royale experience only we can deliver based on the stable service for our Indian fans,” said Minkyu Park, executive producer for PUBG: New State.
