Redmi has been one of the most popular brands in the midrange segment. The Note series has been providing a tremendous price-to-performance value to customers globally. The latest inclusion in the Note series comes with the Note 9 5G and Note 9 Pro 5G.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G comes with the latest 750G, which is an Octa-core CPU (2x2.2 GHz Kryo 570 & 6x1.8 GHz Kryo 570) and Adreno 619 GPU. The phone's main highlight is the 108 MP camera, which has never been seen before in a mid-ranger. It uses Samsung’s new Isocell HM2 camera sensor (1/1.52 inch, 0.7-micron pixels). The back camera module houses the 108 MP primary camera and an 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor. It packs in a 6.67-inch 120Hz LCD screen (with adaptive frame rate support), a newer UFS 2.2 storage, and a fast-charging of 33W.

Redmi has also launched a cheaper 5G variant, the Redmi Note 9 5G. It comes with a MediaTek 800U chipset, which is a 7nm based integrated 5G chipset. The exciting part here is that this variant supports dual 5G support and standby, while the pro variant doesn’t. The phone has a LCD-screen with a standard refresh rate of 60Hz. The back camera module houses a triple camera system of (48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro). It comes with a 5000mAh battery, 18W fast charging, and UFS 2.2 storage.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G starts at 1,599 yuan (~$243) for the 6GB/128GB model, 1,799 yuan (~$274) for the 8GB/128GB option, and 1,999 yuan (~$304) for the 8GB/256GB model. The Redmi Note 9 5G starts at 1,299 yuan (~$198) for the 6GB/128GB option, 1,499 yuan (~$228) for the 8GB/128GB variant, and 1,699 yuan (~$258) for the 8GB/256GB option. Pre-booking is already available for the users in China, while the regular sale will start from December 1.
