Oppo, an eminent brand in the smartphone industry has appointed Elvis Zhou as the President of its India operations. Up till now, Zhou held the position of a general manager at Oppo in Mumbai.
Zhou has played a prominent role in the expansion of Oppo in the Indian market in 2013. He has been associated with Oppo India for more than six years.
Zhou will report to Charles Wong, vice president of global sales at Oppo after taking up the position of President. On the news of Zhou being elected as a President of Oppo India operations, Wong said: “Elvis has been an integral part of the Oppo India. His experience in the smartphone industry makes him the ideal person to lead our ambitious India growth strategy as we expand our operations. We extend a warm welcome and congratulate him on his new role.”
Zhou has been associated with Oppo for around 11 years. And in these 11 years of association, Zhou has served the company in many different roles starting as the regional manager of Oppo East Guangdong.
About his new role, Zhou said: “I am extremely excited to take on this new role at Oppo India. Indian mobile market is growing exponentially and I look forward to further strengthen the brand presence in the country by providing great user experience with our products.”
