iQOO, which started as a sub-brand of Vivo, has transformed itself into a separate entity launching flagships as well as midrange phones from the past few years. Now, it has launched its latest flagship with Snapdragon 888 chipset. The iQOO 7 is the second smartphone launched with the brand new flagship processor from Qualcomm. The first smartphone to debut with the Snapdragon 888 was the Mi 11.
It has a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a variable 120Hz refresh rate. iQOO has advertised the touch sampling rate to go up to an insane level of 1000Hz for a butter-smooth gaming experience. Also, the display is pressure-sensitive,allowing for more precise controls in supported titles.It has a triple camera setup with a 48MP primary shooter with OIS, alongside a 13 ultra-wide module and a 13MP telephoto sensor with a 120-degree field of view. The main module comes with Super Video image stabilization with HDR.
The iQOO 7 comes in two variants,128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage with Multi-Turbo 5.0 storage architecture and RAM options of 8/12GB LPDDR5. Connectivity options include Dual 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.The iQOO 7 has been made availablein three color options light blue, black, and a white BMW M-sport co-branded version. The base 8/128 GB version is priced at CNY 3,798, while the 12/256 GB is priced at CNY 4,198. The smartphone will go on sale in China on January 15, and details about the international availability are yet to be revealed.
