The Japanese automaker, Honda, re-launched the Civic Type R in January. The 2020 Civic Type R now comes with revised suspension and brakes along with some new styling. But its drivers can rejoice now as Honda has announced an app - LogR - that will help them keep tabs on their driving style.
Honda LogR is a data logging application upfront which has three main functions including auto score, performance monitor and log mode. The app will be made available for both iOS and Android devices. It is slated for a release soon.
The app will be handy especially for hobbyist racers and track enthusiasts who will be able to access in-depth stats about their drives. The app also provides info about their previous drives, their performance and replays using GPS mapping.
According to Engadget, the app can provide information on 15 data points including acceleration, braking, steering and more. These parameters generate a report on driving smoothness.
Although the app has just been announced for Honda Civic Type R for now, enthusiasts can expect it to be released for other cars in the future.
