In the coming few years we will see a greater integration of IoT into the markets. Many of the developed economies of the world like the USA, Japan, The European Union and South Korea have all made announcements on their respective IoT initiatives. There is a need for IoT platform providers to bring upon this change. In such a situation of high demand agile IoT is a win-win solution.
Ayla networks has been on the forefront when it comes to providing agile IoT platform. The company offers a cloud platform as-a service (PaaS) solution that is designed for enterprises to enable devices to connect to the cloud and its applications. Incorporated back in 2010, the company is based in Sunnyvale, California with an office located in Japan.
The company delivers cloud PaaS that allows for its IoT platform to be very flexible and modular for rapid changes to any device connected to the network of devices, cloud or app environment. Ayla is empowering manufacturers by making it easier to incorporate IoT to turn their products into smart connected systems. This would help them get an edge and change the game in the world of IoT.
To get started
Ayla Networks provides a design kit namely Ayla IoT Design Kit that gives the customer a speedway to construct a network of connected devices using Ayla’s flexible cloud platform and application libraries. The design kit gives the customer new age connectivity. There’s no need for developing any networking code or to learn how code to be able to use Ayla’s cloud service. The IoT Design Kit includes a host microcontrollers, Wi-Fi modules enabled with Ayla Cloud Connect Stacks, and demo applications that enable you to stay connected to Ayla’s cloud services.
The customers buying the design kit get access to microcontroller driver source, demo applications and Ayla Application libraries, which enables you to create great apps that securely control your Ayla-enabled devices with a smartphone or tablet. The customer only needs to focus on the supporting Android, iOS and web interfaces, UI and leave the networking, security and authentication to Ayla.
Ayla Networks boasts of great portfolio full of clients that would put a shadow over some bigger companies that try to provide the same IoT solutions. Ayla has provided its services to quality companies like UTEC, Hampton, Owlet, to enable them to gain some real-time world knowledge that would let them edge out the competition in the industry. Ayla has worked with The MNC Fujitsu General which is partnering with Ayla for its ace service.
“Ayla’s IoT platform allowed Fujitsu General to get secure, reliable connected products to market in an efficient manner,” stated Erin Mezle, director of marketing for Fujitsu General America, Inc. “By partnering with Ayla, we are able to offer our customers the convenience of remote management of their mini-split systems using a simple smartphone, tablet or PC via the internet.”
The Ayla Networks IoT platform provides device, cloud and mobile app connectivity for any kind of product. Ayla provides security by providing reliable connected products to market in as little time as possible. The cost and effort put is to improve multiple aspects of their business based on the data generated from connected devices.
Ayla Networks’ service Ayla insights won the 2015 IoT Excellence Award. Ayla Insights is the company’s data analytics and business intelligence service for the IoT platform. TMC in collaboration with CrossfireMedia held an event called IoT Excellence Awards to honor innovative products that support the availability of information from a network of connected devices.
The market is forever changing and in such conditions, flexibility and configurability are important for the success of any IoT product. Trends are changing, standards are changing hence there is a need for the devices to be capable to connect, hold any type of data and forge a connection to a cloud-based service. With Ayla, you have that flexibility.
