Canon EOS R mirrorless camera, mount adapters, and RF lenses are reaching us tomorrow. Despite Canon’s unalterable secrecy around every product launch, the photos and specs of this new full-frame mirrorless camera were leaked and are trending already.
The camera which looks a lot like a slimmed-down DSLR contains a 30.3 MP full-frame CMOS sensor with Dual-Pixel AF. Other features include 4K video recording, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a mic jack, a headphone jack, a dustproof and a drip-proof magnesium body, and an LP-E6N battery.
The screen at the back is fully articulated, and there’s also a secondary information display on the top like the Nikon Z cameras. The four lenses 35mm f/1.8, a 50mm f/1.2, a 28-70mm f/2, and a 24-105mm f/4 kit lens (as per the leaks) puts Canon ahead of Nikon that only has a 35mm f/1.8, a 50mm f/1.8, and a 24-70mm f/4.
Along with it, Canon is also launching three EOS lens adapters - a standard EF-EOS R mount adapter, a control ring mount adapter, and a drop-in filter mount adapter. The portable camera will reportedly weigh 580g and measure 136x98m in size.
There are still details and specs regarding the camera, lenses, and adapters that only Canon can reveal, and it wouldn’t take long to know. Recently, when Nikon decided to take on Sony by announcing its first serious step in the mirrorless camera market, the challenger gets challenged by the photography and optical products-maker, Canon. Mirrorless has become the new standard in the camera industry.
