All this while we’ve been seeing Instagram borrowing features from Snapchat, but here comes a time with a reverse situation! Users can now see GIF stickers on the Android and iOS Snapchat Stories. The GIF stickers are from the Giphy’s library that comes with a wider selection for Stories.
The feature is similar to the new feature that Instagram added just a few weeks ago. While searching the app, users can find that the stickers are singled out. This makes it easier for users as they don’t have to wade through regular Snap-created stickers, especially if you're looking for some variety!
Additionally, Snap is bringing some interface tweaks coming along for the ride. The Snapchat app now has tabs on both the Discover and Friends sections. This helps in finding just the Stories you’re looking for. For instance, you can simply look at just friends with active Stories or just the subscribed Stories.
In order to keep pace with Instagram, Snap’s determination is quite clear with the addition of Giphy. So now, users wouldn’t be leaving Snapchat, just because the Stickers aren’t there! This also shows Giphy’s influence on the tech world as its GIFs are popping up almost everywhere.
