The popular web development platform Wix has launched its new suite of products called Ascend that will help users “start, manage and promote a business directly” from the Wix web development platform.
The Ascend suite will bring new tools to entrepreneurs, which can be used in 20 areas like chats, digital marketing, memberships, e-mail marketing, and SEO. The Ascend product is a combination of some of the features previously available along with some new offerings. The company’s CEO Avishai Abrahami says that Wix is trying to expand its market by getting into management tools, marketing, and promotions. “Ascend is the next iteration in a long line of products, informed by our data and designed with our users, and their success, as our inspiration.”
The comprehensive suite of tools will compete with the likes of those offered by Squarespace and Weebly. The subscription for Wix is available at a pricing that ranges from $9 to $45 per month. The users can use the suite even without tight integration into a Wix website but these users would be giving up some advantage by doing so.
The new suite of products will help the company expand its presence online and help many companies grow in the meantime.
