Vamnicom came up with a series of Webinars as an initiative to cater to varied cybersecurity challenges. Webinars were conducted with three major sectors of Co-operatives which is, Co-operative Banking, Sugar Co-operatives & Dairy Co-operatives.
A Webinar was organized on June 5th for Dairy Co-operatives, for which more than 23 IT Officers from Maharashtra & Karnataka participated. Dr. K. K. Tripathy, Director, VAMNICOM, in his opening remark briefed about the initiatives of VAMNICOM for organising Webinar on important topics. Dr. Y.S Patil, HOC IT Vamicom, Ravikiran Mankikar, Advisory Consultant IT & Security and Nachiket Pohekar, Manager IT, COSMOS Bank delivered the sessions on Systems Audit, Cyber Security & Software licensing and Mobile App Security concerns.
The Webinar for Sugar Co-operatives was organised on 8th June 2020. In all 39 IT Officers from Maharashtra & Karnataka participated in the webinar. In his opening remark Tiwary urged the IT heads to ensure IT and Cyber Security in place in view of the emerging security challenges.
“Providing customers with an efficient seamless access to services with required security and compliance requirements in place is the need of the hour. Every organization needs to adopt cyber best security practices and develop a risk management culture; cyber security regulations are important”, Tiwary stressed.
