MongoDB Atlas, MongoDB’s fully-managed cloud database has welcomed Data Lake to its family. With MongoDB Atlas Data Lake onboard users can now use the MongoDB Query Language to build rich and complex structures.
The company on its blog post wrote: “MongoDB Atlas Data Lake is designed to get the best from your data lake with the tools and platforms you already use, whether you want to analyze data, build data services, feed machine learning and AI or build active archives.”
IDC has predicted that global data will reach 175 Zettabytes by 2025 and almost half of this data is slated to reside on public clouds. This move from MongoDB will give developers a way to work with data especially when it resides in a cloud.
